Hercules EC-130
Here we have a Hercules variant- the EC-130 - the 'E' stands for 'Electronic'. It is one of eight variants of the EC and is operated by the 193rd Special Operations Wing of the Pennsylvania Air National Guard. The extra lumps on its tail and elsewhere are aerials. On this particular variant they transmit TV signals, sending propaganda to enemy TVs.

Hercules delivery
C-130's at airshows like to show the crowd different things from time to time. Here, the aircraft is dropping some supplies out of the back, attached to a parachute which is just starting to open. The bulbous nose probably contains extra radar equipment.
This variant is an MC-130H Combat Talon II. It is used to deliver troops and supplies for covert operations.

LC-130H - Hercules iceskater

Hercules dumping water
This is a standard C-130H belonging to the 302nd Airlift Wing, AF Reserve Command at Peterson AFB, Colorado. It is seen here dumping 8000 gallons of water onto the grass next to Fairford's main runway, as part of its display.
This unit is one of four who have in addition to their routine transport duties, the task of carrying the Modular Airborne Fire-Fighting Sysytem (MAFFS). The particular aircraft has no modifications. All of the fire-fighting equipment is palletized and will fit in any C-130.
